Yesterday, at the premises of the University Sarajevo School of Science and technology (SSST) campus we welcomed the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) delegation from Malaysia. Represented by the UiTM Vice-Chancellor Prof. Emeritus Ir. Dr. Mohd Azaai Kassim and the SSST Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ejup Ganic, both sides signed an inter-institutional agreement establishing grounds for fruitful collaboration in the future. Among many topics, we have discusses possibilities for academic staff and student exchange programs, as well as the joint research projects particularly in the fields of medicine and computer Science /information systems.
UiTM is the largest higher-education institution in Malaysia by infrastructure, staff organization and student enrolment. The university has one main campus and 34 state campuses with over 17,000 academic and non-academic staff, where they offers over 500 programmes. It is home to over 170,000 students. Similar to University SSST all the teaching, lectures, examinations and administration procedures are conducted in English.
