The University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) and the largest pharmaceutical company in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnalijek, have come to an agreement to offer a joint scholarship to 20 most successful candidates applying to study pharmacy set to start at SSST in the coming academic year 2019/2020.
The scholarships will be awarded in the amount of 7,200.00 KM, i.e. 50% of the total tuition fee for candidates applying for testing.
The candidates will be notified about their results after a successful entrance exam and interview with the members of the joint University SSST and Bosnalijek committee.
The first test will be held on July 20 at 9 o’clock at the University SSST. The next tests are planned for the months of August (02, 16, and 30) and September (14 and 21).
This joint scholarship project is yet another successful cooperation between the University SSST and Bosnalijek that will contribute to the strengthening of pharmacy studies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and give pharmacy students a foothold in the international labour market.
The pharmacy studies program developed by the University SSST is unique in the region. Lectures are held in English with additional classes in German, and emphasis is placed on small groups and praxis which begins as early as the first year of studies. Thanks to the cooperation established with Bosnalijek, the students will be provided access to state-of-the-art laboratories for their praxis and will work with established Bosnalijek experts who will be involved in the learning process on an as-needed basis.
